The food Librarian chose Dorie's Classic Banana Bunt Cake found on page 190 of
Baking: from My Home to Yours
For my first ever (!!) TWD post I was so excited to see a recipe to use all those frozen bananas that I have been storing in my freezer! (can you believe that I have never actually made banana bread? I know!) This recipe was actually very simple, with basic ingredients that most people will have on hand.

mixing the batter (only a few dishes required)
right out of the oven (you can smell it right?)

While baking this, my super-picky hubs came out of his office and said "WHAT are you MAKING??? It smells AMAZING!" and that it did!
I think the end result is really basically like a very moist banana bread recipe, and it is quite delicious. All my co-workers, hubs, and his friend who tried it say it's awesome! i think it would be amazing toasted w/a little butter. yum!

Happy First TWD! Your very first banana bundt looks great! I sent mine to my husband's workplace, and he said they devoured it in about an hour! I think this is one of those recipes that anyone will love.

ReplyDeletewell it looks great, i thought of you today bc i spent half the day baking (which is totally not my thing) some breakfast muffins to freeze. they turned out great but i m the messiest and most absent minded baker ever!
